Contractor registration under Idaho Code chapter 54-52, subject to §54-5205 exemptions.

Thresholds and scope

Small-project exemption: less than $2,000 with the specified conditions.

• Section 54-5204 requires registration for covered contractor practice, subject to the chapter’s exemptions. Source
• The casual, minor or inconsequential-project exemption requires an aggregate price below $2,000, including labor, materials and other items. It does not cover part of a larger project or divided contracts intended to evade registration; the chapter also has separate occupational and other exemptions. Source
