Who and what this applies to

Nebraska Contractor Registration Act registration.

Thresholds and scope

Persons working on or having work done on their own property and persons earning less than $5,000 annually from construction services are excluded from the Act’s contractor definition.

The rules

• A covered contractor registers before performing Nebraska construction work and obtains a separate registration number for every business name used. Source
• The registration exemption does not eliminate Nebraska Revenue Act withholding requirements. Source
